SPICY TURKEY LOAF This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Thorp Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1998.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 3 ounces black olives
  • 15 ounce can tomatoes
  • 4 ounce can green chilies
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Chop onion and add to turkey.
  2. Add all other ingredients except cheese and form into a loaf and bake 55 minutes at 350.
  3. Grate cheese and place on top and return to oven for a few minutes to melt cheese.
