This is a very simple way to make sweet tasty apples much like the filling of an apple pie. I make it to compliment vanilla ice cream, pie, or to eat by itself. My family also likes it as an accompanyment to roast pork, ham, or many other entries.

Ahhh, you just brought back pleasant memories for me. My mother always just called these stewed apples, and it was another way to work up "windfalls". Oh so good!!! Of course, I hadn't thought about them in years, and she just "dumped". I'm so very very happy you shared this recipe. I'll be making some of these soon!! Thank You! - Linda
