Enhanced Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease a 9x13 inch pan
  • In a large bowl, beat together cake mix, butter and 1 egg until well combined
  • Pat into pan
  • Set aside 2 tabls powdered sugar
  • In another large bowl, beat together the remaining sugar, cream cheese and the remaining egg
  • Pour over the chocolate batter
  • Bake 35 minutes
  • Let cool completely, then sprinkle top with reserved 2 tabls powdered sugar
