How to make it

  • Preheat the oven 180c and grease slab tin. Melt the butter in a saucepan large enough to hold all the remaining ingredients.
  • Allow the butter to cool slightly then mix in the beaten egg and vanilla essence.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients and mix together. Do not over-mix.
  • Press evenly into a prepared slab tin.
  • Cook about 20 minutes or until golden.
  • Allow to cool - cut into squares.`
