Ingredients
  • 1 Broiler or fryer chicken - cut into pieces
  • 1 lemon halved
  • salt
  • 1/3 Cup butter or margarine
  • 2/3 Cup cooking sauterne (sweet white desert wine) .
  • 1 Cup seedless green grapes
  • Paprika

Directions
  1. Cut chicken in pieces
  2. Rub chicken well with lemon; sprinkle with salt.
  3. Dry on rack for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat butter in skillet until bubbly.
  5. Brown chicken in butter, pour in sauterne
  6. Simmer until chicken is tender 30-35 minutes
  7. Baste occasionally with sauce
  8. About 3 minutes before end of cooking add grapes
  9. Dash generously with paprika
  10. Arrange chicken and grapes on warm platter, serve sauce in separate bowl
