How to make it

  • Cut chicken in pieces
  • Rub chicken well with lemon; sprinkle with salt.
  • Dry on rack for 15 minutes.
  • Heat butter in skillet until bubbly.
  • Brown chicken in butter, pour in sauterne
  • Simmer until chicken is tender 30-35 minutes
  • Baste occasionally with sauce
  • About 3 minutes before end of cooking add grapes
  • Dash generously with paprika
  • Arrange chicken and grapes on warm platter, serve sauce in separate bowl
