How to make it

  • Peel, core and quarter the apples. Bring a little water to the boil in a saucepan, dissolve the sugar then add the apples. Simmer for 5-10 minutes or till soft.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over gentle heat, stir in the brown sugar to dissolve. Add the corn flakes stir to combine.
  • Lay the apples in a dish, cover with caramelized cornflakes and let to cool. Serve with cream or ice-cream.
