ST Patricks Corned Beef Dinner

- 4-6 lb corned beef brisket shopping list
- 1 Qt ale (or enough to cover) shopping list
- 6 peppercorns shopping list
- 3 bay leaves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- small white potatoes pealed to fill the pot shopping list
- 2 cups (about) small onions shopping list
- 1 cup (about) baby carrots shopping list
- wedges of green cabbage shopping list
How to make it
- Simmer all ingredients except the cabbage in the liquor and seasonings at a low heat setting 6 hours
- last two hours add the cabbage and cook until all ingredients are tender.
