Marinated Lamb Recipe
This method of marinding lamb chops gives the lamb a somewhat slavic, to my taste, flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 c hard cider
  • 1/2 c red wine vinegar
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp chopped ginger
  • 2 lbs lamb chops

Directions
  1. Mix cider and vinegar.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into 8 pieces.
  3. Combine onion and all other ingredients with the cider and vinegar, stirring to mix.
  4. Marinate lamb overnight.
  5. The length of time broiling depends on how you want the lamb done, usually 12-15 minutes.

I love lamb and have never seen a recipe for a marinade for it. I'm saving this one. Thanks!


This is very close to a traditional Russian dish called Shashlik. Another winner Scearley!
