LOL A COBBLES IS HARD TO DISCRIBE. I AM NOT A CHERRY LOVER BUT I REALLY LOVE CHERRY COBBLERS. ITS LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN A CAKE & A PIE. THATS AS BEST AS I CAN DISCRIBE IT.

Ingredients
  • 4 - 8OZ CANS OF PIE FILLING CHERRIES
  • 6 TO 8 CUPS SELF RISING FLOUR
  • 1 STICK OF BUTTER
  • 3 CUPS OF WHITE SUGAR
  • MILK

Directions
  1. PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 300*
  2. MELT THE STICK OF BUTTER IN A DEEP BAKING PAN WITH HIGH SIDES.
  3. IN A LARGE BOWL MIX TOGETHER THE FLOUR
  4. ADD THE SUGAR ALSO THEN SLOWLY ADD AS YOU STIR THE MILK UNTIL IT BECOMES AS A CAKE MIX BATTER
  5. PULL THE PAN OUT THE OVEN WITH THE BUTTER FULLY MELTED.
  6. POUR ALL THE CHERRIES INTO IT.
  7. THEN POUR IN THE CAKE BATTER YOU JUST MADE OVER THE CHERRIES POURING IT FROM ONE END OF THE PAN TO THE OTHER LEAVING ABOUT A INCH FROM THE TOP OF THE PAN CLEAR FOR RISING. THEN USING A BUTTER KNIFE WEAVE THROUGH OUT THE BATTER & CHERRIES. PLACE INTO THE OVEN FOR 45 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY GOLDEN BROWN.
  8. "YOU CAN USE OTHER FRUITS SUCK AS PEACHES, APPLE (ADD CIMMINON IF DESIRED"
  9. DO NOT BE ALARMED IF THERE APPEARS TO BE LIQUID IN THE COBBLER, THATS HOW THERE SUPPOSE TO BE.

It is. It is easy and very good. My oldest sister taught this one to me. I am grateful I learned it from her back then, because 2 years later she passed away. She was an awesome cook.


Oh yeah.....we have the chrriee fest comming in june so i will make this then.....Great Post
