How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 450
  • Remove casings from sausage
  • Cook over medium heat stirring to crumble
  • Drain and set aside
  • Line 9 inch quiche dish or pie plate with half of pie dough and flute edges
  • Bake for 5 minutes
  • Prick pastry and bake another 5 minutes
  • Remove from oven and reduce heat to 350
  • In mixing bowl, mix eggs, ricotta, and basil
  • Stir in sausage, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese
  • Spoon into baked shell
  • Cut an 8 inch circle out of remaining pie dough
  • Cut into 6 wedges
  • Arrange on top of filling
  • Bake 45-50 minutes
  • Cool 10 minutes
  • Spoon 2 tbls. pizza sauce over each wedge
