Ingredients

1/4 rinsed and sorted pinot or red kidney beans, or 2 cups rinsed canned beans

1 cup TVP

7/8 cup boiling water

1/2 tsp chili powder

1 tsp salt

1 diced onion

1 Cup water

1 1/2 cups tomato sauce

1 Cup bean cooking liquid ( or one cup water)

1-2 TBS chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar (opt.)

pinch black or red pepper

Directions

TVP Chili With Beans

Pressure cook 1 1/4 rinsed and sorted pinot or red kidney beans, or 2 cups rinsed canned beans

Soak 1 cup TVP in 7/8 cup boiling water stir well

Add 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp salt and stir well. let soak for 10 minutes.

SautĆ© 1 diced onion and

in 2 TBS oil.

Add TVP mixture and brown for a few minutes (stir constantly or it will stick)

Bring to boil all other ingredients

Add the cooked beans and the TVP mixture to the tomato base and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.

It just tickled me to see other comments posted and no one else noticed it. To me, a recipe is not just what goes in it but how itā€™s blended.
I donā€™t do time consuming stuff. Itā€™s hard enough for me to spend time taking photos of it before I shove it down my throat.

I knew that 666 referred to devils. Now I know that 555 refers to gods.
