dry rub for ribs
From jadedmom 15 years agoIngredients
- 5-6 lbs of baby back ribs shopping list
- 8 tablespoons dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon salt shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chili powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon each black and red pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme shopping list
- BBQ sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all dry ingredients well.
- Rub all sides of meat.
- Wrap meat in foil and let sit a few hours or overnight in fridge. ( I don't always follow this step)
- Bake meat wrapped in foil at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 hrs.
- You can now either put them in fridge for later grilling (for smokey flavor and to warm up) or put them on a medium hot grill and baste with sauce.
- I've also altered the spices according to my mood of the day as I'm sure many people do!
