I found this recipe very unusual but simple to make.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3 1/4 flour
  • 3/4 sour cream, scalded
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbls butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Filling recipe
  • 1 Glaze recipe
  • Filling:
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbls milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and set aside.
  2. Position knife blade in food processor bowl, add flour,.
  3. Combine sour cream, butter, sugar, salt, yeast mixture in a small bowl; stir in egg.
  4. With processor running pour mixture through chute in a slow , steady stream.
  5. Process until well blended (dough will be soft).
  6. Place dough in a well greased bowl, turning to grease the top.
  7. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
  8. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions onto a heavily floured surface, and knead 4-5 times.
  9. Roll each into a 14X10 inch rectangle. Spread half of the filling over each rectangle leaving a 1/4 inch margin around the edges.
  10. Roll like a jelly roll beginning at the long side. Firmly pich the edges to seal. Place rolls seam side down on prepared baking sheets.
  11. Make 6 equally spaced X shaped cuts across the top of each loaf. Cover and let rise in a warm place free from drafts.1 1/2 hours or until doubled in bulk. bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.Spread loaves with glaze while warm.
  12. Filling:
  13. Position knife blade in processor bowl; add all ingredients. Top with cover; process until well blended. chill 20-30 minutes.
  14. Glaze:
  15. Combine all ingredients, mixing well.
