Beef And Broccoli Recipe
This takes everything from scratch using fresh broccoli. To save time, I use frozen. NO MSG, as long as you don't add it in your oyster or soy sauces. Check your labels.

Ingredients
  • 2/3 lb. beef tenderloin
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2/3 lb. broccoli
  • Marinade:
  • 1 Tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cooking wine or sherry
  • 1/2 Tablespoon water
  • Additional Stir-Fry Veggies:
  • 6 1/2-inch green onions
  • 6 slices of ginger root
  • Sauce Mix:
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • Splash of cooking wine or sherry
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • dash of pepper and sesame oil
  • 2 Tablespoons oil

Directions
  1. Cut the meat across the grain into thin pieces.
  2. Mix with marinade, let set for 1 hour
  3. Before frying, add 1 Tablespoon oil and mix.
  4. Cut flowerets of broccoli from stems.
  5. Cook in boiling water for 1 minute; remove and drain.
  6. Garnish the serving plate with cooked broccoli.
  7. Add oil and heat the wok. When the oil is hot, add meat.
  8. Stir-fry until the color changes and remove.
  9. Wipe wok clean and add 2 Tablespoons oil.
  10. Stir-fry Extra Stir-Fry Vegetables until fragrant.
  11. Add beef and Sauce Mix; toss lightly.
  12. Remove and serve.
