Italian Sausage Pasta Meal

Ingredients
- 1 lb sweet Italian sausage (use hot to add more spice) shopping list
- Two 14.5 oz cans roasted garlic and onion tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 4 cups penne pasta cooked according to box directions shopping list
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream (optional, for a cream sauce) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown Italian sausage, drain well
- Add tomatoes, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes
- Simmer until sauce thickens and reduces by half
- Mix cream in sauce (optional)
- Cook for two minutes, stirring carefully (if adding cream)
- Toss with pasta
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top
- Serve with salad and garlic bread
