COCONUT TWINKLES This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ellis Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1980.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flaked coconut

Directions
  1. Thoroughly combine all ingredients except coconut.
  2. Blend thoroughly with a mixer then stir in coconut and mix well.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet then bake 10 minutes at 375.
  4. Allow to cool completely.
