How to make it

  • In a small jug, whisk together the sugar, yeast and water. And let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in the food processor, whis for a few secs.
  • With the motor going, pour in the yeasty water. Scrape down the sides and process till its all mixed together good.
  • Take out the dough and knead for 10 minute or so. Roll into a ball and place in an oiled bowl. Cover and leave in the in a warm place to rise for an hour.
  • Punch down dough, knead a bit then shape into a loaf and place in a lined bread tin. Leave in a warm spot for another 40 minutes (uncovered).
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 180, then lower temp to 160 and cook for a further 40 minutes.
