No-Roll Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream together sugars and butter with a mixer at medium speed.
  3. Add eggs and mix well.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and vanilla. Mix well.
  5. Chill for 15 minutes.
  6. Roll dough into walnut size balls.
  7. Place on ungreased baking sheet and flatten with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
  8. Bake about 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
  9. *** Can be decorated any way you desire ***
