How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Liberally grease 9" x 13" pan.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Gradually add eggs and mix well.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients.
  • Fold in almonds.
  • Pour batter in pan.
  • Bake about 15-20 minutes or just until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Place baking pan on wire rack to cool.
  • Once cool remove form pan and cut into squares.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together powered sugar and cocoa until no lumps remain.
  • Add vanilla and 4 tablespoons milk.
  • Add enough of the remaining milk to make a smooth and creamy.
  • Pour mixture on top of cookies.
  • Sprinkle tops with coconut.
  • Refrigerate until set.
