Fennel soup

- olive oil shopping list
- butter shopping list
- 1 onion, diced thin shopping list
- 3 fennel bulbs, halved, then sliced thin shopping list
- coarse black pepper to taste shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- water to cover shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the olive oil and butter.
- Add the onion. Brown.
- Add the fennel slices with the pepper. Brown.
- Cover and a bit with water. Cover the pot.
- When the fennel has softened, add salt to taste. Then add the cream. Heat just enough to heat the cream - don't let it boil.
