- 2 (28-ounce) cans plum tomatoes and their juice, pureed in a blender shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1 small bunch of parsley shopping list
- Pinch of red peppers flakes shopping list
- salt and fresh ground pepper shopping list

- 8 lasagna noodle 1 per serving shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon salt shopping list

- 1 container small curd cottage cheese shopping list
- 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry shopping list
- 1 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- ½ teaspoon salt shopping list
- ½ teaspoon pepper shopping list

- 1 whole tomato sliced into 8 pieces shopping list
How to make it
- Directions
- Preheat over to 350
- Spray the inside of a 9x13 pan with Pam and set aside
- In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, cook pork sausage and beef. Drain oil add onion and garlic, stir until translucent. Add pureed tomatoes, bay leaf, red pepper salt and pepper. Let simmer for 30 minutes.
- While sauce is simmering, cook noodles in olive oil and salt till tender.
- While both sauce and noodles are cooking prepare filling. Mix cottage cheese, spinach and parmesan cheese. Add beaten egg, salt and pepper.
- Remove pasta from water and rinse in cool water, lay on a napkin to remove any extra water. Spoon a large amount of filling onto pasta and roll. Pick up pasta roll and lay in the 9x13 pan. Continue with remaining pasta and filling. Pour sauce over pasta. Cover with aluminum foil and place in preheated over and bake for 35 minutes. Remove and top with cheese and basil. Lay a slice of tomato on top of each roll. Return to over and cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
