How to make it

  • preheat the oven to 325f. lightly butter a 2 1/2 quart baking dish and set aside
  • in a medium saucepan over medium low heat, bring peaches and peach nectar to a simmer. cookuntil peaches are tender, about 5 min
  • in a large bowl, gently toss the bread, melted butter, raisins, and peaches until the bread is completely coated. in a seperate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, cinamon, half and half, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. add the bread mixture and mix gently. pour into prepared dish
  • bake until golden brown and center is set, about 1 hr
  • in a small saucepan,over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream, and vanilla extract. bring to boil, stirring frequently. reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 5 min stirring continually. remove from heat sauce will thicken as it cools. drizzle over the top of bread pudding and serve warm or at room temperature
