Cheese Triangles

- 1 lb. finely shredded monterey jack cheese shopping list
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped chives shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper shopping list
- 1 package (16 oz.) frozen phyllo sheets, thawed shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.
- In bowl, mix cheese, eggs, chives and white pepper until well blended.
- Cut stack of phyllo sheets lengthwise into thirds. Cover with wax paper, then with damp towel to prevent them from drying out. Use 2 sheets phyllo for each strip.
- Place 1 heaping teaspoon cheese mixture on end of each strip; fold phyllo strip end-over-end, in triangular shape, to opposite end.
- Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining phyllo and cheese mixture.
- Brush margarine over triangles.
- Bake about 20 minutes or until puffed and golden.
