How to make it

  • Cut bread in half horizontally;hollow out top and bottom,leaving 1" shells. Crumble removed bread;set aside.
  • In large skillet,melt butter over med. heat;add half of the tomatoes. Add the jalapeno,garlic ,cilantro;cook and stir 4 mins. Remove from heat.
  • In large bowl,combine crab,ricotta and sour cream. Stir in the tomato mixture;reserved bread crumbs and 1 cup cheese blend.Spoon into bread shells. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake 375 for 15 mins. Top with remaining cheese blend and tomatoes. Bake 5 to 7 mins longer or till cheese is melted.
  • If you want to use these for appetizers,slice thinner.

    Yes, I have that issue of Taste of Home! There were sooo many great recipes in there! This one caught my eye also!
