Red Cabbage and Apples in Creamy Caraway Sauce

- 1/2 small red cabbage head shopping list
- 2 tart apples shopping list
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoons alt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Place cabbage cut side down on a cutting board.
- With a large stainless steel knife slice it into very thin shreds.
- Quarter the apples.
- Remove the cores and cut apples into 1/2" dices.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- Add the cabbage and apples and cook over high heat stirring frequently for 6 minutes.
- Stir in the cream and caraway seeds then cook 4 minutes longer.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve hot.
