Custard

- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cornflour shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk egg yolks, cornflour and sugar with a little of the milk.
- Pour remaining milk into a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high until milk boils.
- Remove from microwave and slowly add in egg yolk, cornflour and sugar mix while whisking. Continue to whisk until thickened then add vanilla extract.
- Note: The milk must boil or the custard won’t thicken.

Thanks for this recipe. It is just what I was looking for. I'm thinking why we usually call custard something made of powder and milk or water, when custard can be made so simply. There's no way a watery powder can taste like the real thing. Thanks.
