How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • In another mixing bowel combine eggs, oil, and vanilla: add to flour mixture. Mix well.
  • Stir in cherry pie filling, chocolate pieces and nuts.
  • Turn cherry mixture into a greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  • Ovens can very so use a toothpick and if it come out clean cake is done.
  • Place pan on wire rack to cool. After cake has completely cooled remove from pan and sift powdered sugar on top.
  • Optional: Serve with Vanilla Icecream.
  • Makes 12 servings.
