If you like Chocolate, Cherries and Nuts like you would get on a Sundae you will like this cake and you can serve it with Vanilla Icecream.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 20 ounce can cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • Powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  3. In another mixing bowel combine eggs, oil, and vanilla: add to flour mixture. Mix well.
  4. Stir in cherry pie filling, chocolate pieces and nuts.
  5. Turn cherry mixture into a greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan.
  6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  7. Ovens can very so use a toothpick and if it come out clean cake is done.
  8. Place pan on wire rack to cool. After cake has completely cooled remove from pan and sift powdered sugar on top.
  9. Optional: Serve with Vanilla Icecream.
  10. Makes 12 servings.
