Sweet And Sour Party Meatballs Recipe
SWEET AND SOUR PARTY MEAT BALLS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hartman Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 drops hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 green pepper diced
  • 20 ounce can pineapple chunks in syrup drained
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce

Directions
  1. Combine first 7 ingredients and mix well then shape into 1” balls.
  2. Brown in butter over medium heat then drain well then place in a rectangular baking dish.
  3. Combine cornstarch, vinegar and sugar in medium saucepan.
  4. Cook low heat stirring constantly until clear and thickened.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients then pour over meatballs and bake at 300 for 40 minutes.
