Almond Joy Cake

- 1 box chocolate cake mix (one with pudding in the mix) shopping list
- 1 cup Pet milk shopping list
- 14 oz. coconut shopping list
- 24 large marshmallows shopping list
- ½ cup Pet milk shopping list
- 1 stick margarine shopping list
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips shopping list
- sliced almonds shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Bake a box chocolate cake (one with pudding in the mix) according to the directions (use a 9x13” pan, greased and floured)
- Over medium heat, combine 1 cup Pet milk, 1 cup sugar, 14 oz. coconut and 24 large marshmallows
- Stir continuously until the marshmallows melt
- Pour this over the baked cake while it is still hot
- Let the cake cool for an hour (or can refrigerate for 30 minutes)
- Bring to boil ½ cup Pet milk and 1 stick of butter or margarine
- Then add 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- Stir until the chips have completely melted
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the marshmallow layer on the cake
- Sprinkle with almonds
- Refrigerate overnight
- *NOTE: This is a very good and very rich cake. Refrigerating it will make the sweetness a little less overwhelming. I recommend that you do not skip this step. ENJOY!!
