Perfect Peach Preserves Recipe
Couldn't get any easier than just using canned peaches, sugar and cooking down to a preserve consisitency-yummy

Ingredients
  • 2 - 29 oz cans peaches in heavy syrup
  • 2 C sugar

Directions
  1. Pour peaches and syrup into medium sized pot.
  2. Heat over medium low for half an hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gently stir in sugar.
  4. Raise heat to medium and continue cooking for an hour and a half to two hours, or until the peaches have cooked down to 1/3 or 1/4 of their original volume and have the consistency of jam or preserves.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Store in refrigerator or in pantry if canned properly.

I've never made anything in the way of preserves or jellies/jams - what a GREAT way to give it a shot - wish I could give you more than 5!! :)
question - would it work the same with fresh/frozen strawberries or other fruits? Thanks!
