Thursday Night Pasta

- 1 1/2 cups uncooked farfalle shopping list
- 1 italian sausage link, cubed shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
- 2 mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 1/3 cup walnuts shopping list
- 1 cup half & half shopping list
- 1/8 tsp lemon zest shopping list
- 1/8 tsp white ground pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/8 tsp dried tarragon shopping list
- 1 dash nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan shopping list
- 3/4 cup baby leaf spinach shopping list
- 1/4 cup dried cherries shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium sized sauce pan cook the Italian sausage until browned through. Remove from pan and place in a medium sized bowl.
- Meanwhile, bring a medium size pot of lightly salter water to a boil & add farfalle. Cook until al dente, then drain.
- Over medium high heat Melt the butter in the sauce pan and add garlic & mushrooms. Saute for 2 minutes and then add in walnuts; keep cooking until walnuts are toasted. Remove from the saucepan and place in the reserved bowl with the sausage.
- Pour the half & half into sauce pan and add in the lemon zest, white pepper, black pepper, tarragon, nutmeg and salt. Bring to a boil until sauce thickens slightly, whisking frequently.
- Add in the parmesan cheese & stir until completely melted. Continue by combining the items from the reserved bowl, then the spinach and dried cherries into the sauce & cook until spinach has wilted.
- Remove from heat, toss with pasta and serve immediately.

What A Great Blend Of Flavors Goin' On In This Angie. All Of The Herbs and Cheese, Then The Nuts And To Amplify All Of This, Ya Add The Cherries. Nice Goin There, I Like It! This Is One Of Those 'Must Try' Recipes. Thnx For Sharing,
