makes 40 i havnt actually made this my friend did and she gave me the recipe!! im only estimating the cook and prep time!!

Ingredients
  • 2 cup (350 g) preserving sugar
  • 4-6 tbsp water
  • 1 cup (200 g) seedless raisins, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (2 oz) blanched almonds, chopped

Directions
  1. Put the sugar and water in a heavy based saucepan and heat gently until the mixture becomes a golden brown syrup.
  2. Stir in the raisins and almonds and press the mixture into a buttered 7 inch (17.5 cm) shallow tin.
  3. When the mixture has nearly set, cut into squares.
