May Wine Sangria Recipe
This is a lovely sweet sangria, No lemon or lime slices in this recipe. Portion size depends how large your glass is. For parties I put out the smaller clear plastic tumblers.

Ingredients
  • 1 bottle of May Wine
  • ( found during spring or early summer , made with sweet woodruff in a light white wine base, originally of German origin for the May holiday)
  • 1 bottle of red or rose wine ( any kind is okay )
  • 1, 13 oz can red raspberries in heavy syrup
  • 1, carton of frozen strawberries in syrup
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup to taste of flavored liquer such as coconut,( which I chose to use ) or pear, peach, orange, almond- any flavor to compliment the berries

Directions
  1. Mix all together.
  2. Let mellow overnight
  3. Serve well chilled and stir before serving.
  4. Garnish each glass with fresh garden mint spring or a nasturtium flower
