Made a 2nd batch--- came out so much better. Suggest baking time of 8 mins at 375F or till 10 mins if you want it firmer.
Roll balls in powdered sugar (an impt step) to make the "cracks" more visible. I also used a diff kind of food color (the paste kind) and used just a drop to make the color a nice light yellow shade. the 1/4 tsp liquid color makes the dough too orange-y, altho it really depends on each user. I just like my lemon crinkle with just a hint of yellow peeking from the powdered sugar cracks.
