How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 250 then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine peanuts, oil, garlic powder, ginger, pepper flakes and chili powder.
  • Toss until nuts are well coated then transfer nuts to prepared sheet and arrange in single layer.
  • Place in oven and bake 10 minutes then remove from oven and immediately loosen nuts.
  • Sprinkle evenly with salt and set aside to cool at least 1 hour before serving.

    mmmm spicy peanuts....doing this next weekend for party nibbles, might work with canned chickpeas(garbanzo's) if toasted lower & longer, I have done them in a pan of deep oil finishing with salt & garam massala, beware of using curry powder, it needs cooking out!!!, can be harsh.
