Pork Carnitas

- 2 lbs boneless pork shoulder,cut in 1" pieces shopping list
- 4 garlic cloves,minced shopping list
- coarse salt and fresh ground pepper shopping list
- 1Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1/2c fresh orange juice shopping list
- 1/2c milk shopping list
- 12 corn tortillas shopping list
- fresh cilantro leaves,thinly sliced onions,diced avocado and lime wedges for serving shopping list
How to make it
- In large dutch oven or heavy pot,combine pork,garlic,and 8 cups water and season with salt and pepper. Cover,bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook,covered until pork is tender,40-45 mins. Drain well
- In large non-stick skillet,heat oil over med-high. Add pork,orange juice, and milk and cook,stirring occasionally,until liquid has evaporated and pork is browned,8-12 mins.. Serve carnitas in tortilllas with cilantro,onion and lime wedges.
