Ingredients
  • Any fresh,ripe fruit,washed,peeled,pitted,chopped.
  • ~I'm partial to a combination of kiwi,pineapple,strawberry,apple(for Pectin)~
  • Water(or)fruit juice.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Sugar
  • Spices

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, add your fruit and water.
  2. If using 4 cups of chopped fruit, then add 1/2 cup water or fruit juice.
  3. Cover and simmer mixture for about 20 minutes or until cooked.
  4. Uncover, stir and mash with potato masher.
  5. If your cooking 4 cups of fruit, then add sugar,1 Tablespoon at a time, depending on how sweet the fruit is before, will depend on how much sugar you will add.
  6. Add the lemon juice 1 teaspoon at a time to spark the flavor of the fruit.
  7. May add a pinch or two of spices(I don't ,unless I am making all apple or peach, then I add pie spice.)
  8. Contiue to cook until the sugar is dissolved and fruit is thickened ,about 15 to 20 minutes,on simmer.
  9. Place fruit puree in blender and blend until smooth, adust it to your taste with more sugar, lemon juice or spices.
  10. Line a jelly roll pan with heavy duty plastic wrap.
  11. Pour fruit puree into pan to a thickness of about 1/8 "to 1/4".
  12. Place in a 140 degree oven ,for about 8 to 12 hours,or until the fruit is dried out,no longer sticky, and smooth on the surface.
  13. Peel up, roll up, in it's plactic wrap, and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  14. ~Note~ The ideal option is a dehydrator.
