This is a light and sparkling punch that is prepared and frozen in 1 gallon zip lock bags ahead of time. It is then simply added to the punch bowl with two 2 liters of lemon-lime soda.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 3 small packages lemon Jell-O
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • Mix and let cool
  • Add
  • 2 46-ounce cans unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce almond extract
  • 8 ounces lemon juice
  • 5 cups cold water

Directions
  1. Divide equally into 2 1-gallon zip lock bags and freeze until ready to serve.
  2. to serve, remove from freezer and allow to thaw just enough to make a slush.
  3. pour into punch bowl and add two chilled 2-liter bottles of lemon-lime soda per bag.
  4. Makes 3 1/2 gallons
  5. (75, 6-ounce servings, 11-15 cents per 6-oz cup depending upon cost of soda)
