French Chicken Stew

- 4 c sliced button and/or shitake mushrooms shopping list
- 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes,undrained shopping list
- 2 medium carrots,thinly bias-sliced shopping list
- 1 med. round red potato cut in 1" pieces shopping list
- 1/2 c 1' pieces fresh green beans shopping list
- 1/2 c pitted ripe olives,halved shopping list
- 1 c chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 c dry white wine or chicken broth shopping list
- 2 Tbs quick-cooking tapoca shopping list
- 1 tsp hebs de provence or Italian srsoning,crushed1/4 tsp fresf ground pepper shopping list
- 8 boneless ,skinless chicken thighs (1-3/4 to 2 lbs total) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt shopping list
- 1 14 oz jar tomato-base pasta sauce or one 16 oz jar Alfredo pasta sauce shopping list
- French bread (optonal) shopping list
How to make it
- In a 5 to 6 qt slow cooker,combine mushrooms,tomatoes,carrots,onion,potato,green beans,olives, broth wine,tapioca,herbes de provence,thyme and pepper. Place chicken on top;sprinkle with seasoned salt. Cover;cook on low setting 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Stir in pasta sauce. Serve with French bread.
