Chocolate Bread Pudding

Another yummy one whats better than a chocolate one nice and gooey lol............. courtesy of pillsbury..............
Ingredients
- 6 -bread slices, crumbled shopping list
- 4 -cup-. scalded milk shopping list
- 1/4- c.up- butter, melted shopping list
- 1- c.up- sugar shopping list
- 4 -slightly beaten eggs shopping list
- 3/4 -tsp. vanilla shopping list
- ************************************************** shopping list
- chocolate SAUCE: ................... shopping list
- 1/4 cup-. Karo syrup (light or dark) shopping list
- 1/4 cup-. canned milk shopping list
- 1 cup-. chocolate chips shopping list
- ******************************************************* shopping list
- MERINGUE TOPPING: ........................ shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar shopping list
- 8 tbsp. sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Pudding:
- Put bread into buttered 6 x 12 inch baking dish; blend milk, butter, sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla; pour over bread.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes until pudding is done (solid).

- Chocolate Sauce:
- Melt chocolate chips with Karo syrup and canned milk. Pour over cooled pudding. ....................

- Meringue Topping:
- Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Pour over warm chocolate, making peaks.
- Brown at 350 degrees.
- Watch carefully!
- Take out of oven when peaks are golden brown
- 4-6 servings
