Amazin Raisin Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • Grease and flour 2 9 inch round baking pans.
  • In a large bowl with mixer at low speed beat first 10 ingredients for
  • 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently.
  • Batter will be very thick.
  • With spoon stir in apples, raisins and nuts.
  • Spoon batter into pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
  • You can frost this cake with 2 cups of whipped cream..... or you can frost it with sour cream frosting.... either one is great on the cake...
  • Sprinkle with extra nuts for garnish...
  • Enjoy!

    Yum apples and raisins and the spices,sounds great.Not too good at doing layers cakes so think I would probably bake it in a 9x13" pan,maybe an Angel Food pan would work.Printing out for the to try file.
