- 2 lbs ground beef ( round) shopping list
- 3 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger shopping list
- 2 cups consomme shopping list
- 2 tbls flour shopping list
- 4 tbls butter shopping list
How to make it
- Place beef in mixing bowl add salt, pepper, ginger and about 1/2 cup consomme or enough to make meat hold shape.Form 12 meatballs.Sprinkle with flour.Heat butter until slightly brown , then add meatballs brown on all sides . Add remaining consomme .Cover simmer for 15-20 min. or until done. Plate 2 meatballs per plate and serve with potato cakes.
- Option--- Make thick brown gravy with drippings buy adding flour or corn starch. serve as side.
