How to make it

  • Prick the brats all over with a fork, then put in a large saucepan. Add the beer and the onions. Bring to a boil (it will foam!), then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the brats and reserve. Remove the onions with a slotted spoon and reserve.
  • Grill the brats, turning them, until nice and brown on all sides. Serve with kraut, onions, and mustard.

    I have this recipe, but I use a Dark heavy Beer like Guinness Stout. Damn Good on the grill!
