Easiest Cornbread Ever

- 1 cup of self-rising flour shopping list
- 1 cup of self-rising corn meal shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 cup of milk; your choice of sweet or buttermilk shopping list
- 1/4 to 2/3 cup of canola oil shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a medium cast iron skillet add enough canola oil that the bread won't stick and put in the oven as the oven preheats.
- In a medium bowl add all of the ingredients together and mix well.
- Once the oven has heated, remove the cast iron skillet and pour in the cornbread batter.
- Return skillet to the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- If it needs to be browned on the top just broil on low for a few minutes.
