How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a medium cast iron skillet add enough canola oil that the bread won't stick and put in the oven as the oven preheats.
  • In a medium bowl add all of the ingredients together and mix well.
  • Once the oven has heated, remove the cast iron skillet and pour in the cornbread batter.
  • Return skillet to the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  • If it needs to be browned on the top just broil on low for a few minutes.
