Chocloate Egg Cream Recipe
An egg cream is a froth,indulgent drink that tastes similar to an ice cream soda. Very popular a in NY and had many of them growing up.Serve with a pretzel rod for stirring!

Ingredients
  • 1 Tb unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2-1/2 Tb sugar
  • 1 Tb boiling water
  • 1/2 c very cold non-fat milk
  • 1-1/2 c seltzer water(not club soda)
  • 1 pretzel rod

Directions
  1. In small cup,mix cocoa and sugar. Add the water and stir well till paste is formed.
  2. Put milk in a tall fountain glass. Slowly add the seltzer water. Stir gently.
  3. Drizzle the chocolate syrup in slowly,being careful to disturb the foam as little as possible. Stir genly with a tall spoon.
  4. Your drink should be two-toned,chocolate brown on bottom with white foam on top. Serve with a pretzel rod.
