Baked French Fries Recipe
I've been making these for years--everyone likes them. I serve with blobs of catsup.

Ingredients
  • 3 large potatoes (russet) or 5-6 smaller potatoes (yukon gold or small russets) washed and cut in long fingers like "frenchfries". I usually leave the skins intact.
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons oil ( evoo)
  • herbs and spices of choice: Red Star yeast, garlic powder, chile powder, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme, chile peppers , popcorn blend, pesto blend, all purpose blend paprika, etc etc
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Use tin foil to line baking pan, or teflon baking tray,
  3. In a deep bowl, make a little pool of the oil, throw in your spices, and throw in the uncooked fries. With a wooden spoon, stir it all around until all the fries are coated. Lay them out on the baking tray in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn the fries over and sprinkle parmesan on if desired. Continue baking for about 20 more minutes, until desired crispness attained.
  4. Serve hot and immediately

Yes, these are tasty! I make them also. I try not to fry things anymore - cholesterol catches up with me!
