Thick Crust Easy Pizza Supper

- 1 refrigerator package of pizza dough (didn't have frozen bread dough) shopping list
- 1 refrigerator package of garlic bread sticks shopping list
- 1 roll of breakfast sausage, "hot" (didn't have the italian sausage) shopping list
- 1/2 lb. of mushrooms shopping list
- handful of pepperoni slices shopping list
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of rosemary leaves shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of oregano shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of marjoram shopping list
- 1/2 teas.of tarragon leaves (didn't have the fennel) shopping list
- 4 cups of shredded mozzarella (divided use) shopping list
- 1 28 oz. can of chopped tomatoes, drained shopping list
- 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 13x9x2 pan.
- Line bottom with pizza crust.
- Take each bread stick and roll between palms to make long sticks and line the edges of the pan to make sides.
- Pinch the sticks to connect to the pizza crust.
- *If I had a whole bread dough loaf I could have spread it to edges of the pan and formed a bottom and sides.*
- Meanwhile brown the sausage in a skillet, drain and discard fat.
- Cool sausage.
- In same skillet cook onion mushrooms, garlic and pepperoni pieces until softened.
- Add seasonings and tomatoes heat gently to meld flavors.
- Put cooled sausage over the uncooked bread dough.
- Cover with two and a half cups of cheese.
- Top with onion, pepperoni, tomato mixture,
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and the parmesan.
- Bake in oven for 35 minutes until the bread is nicely browned and the filling is bubbly and cheese melted.
- Cool down 5 minutes before attempting to cut. It needs to firm up a little.
