How to make it

  • Cut 4 14 x 12 pieces of waxed paper. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in
  • vanilla, eggs and lemon extract until light and fluffy. Combine flour and
  • baking soda. Stir into egg mixture. Divide into 4 balls. Shape into an 8-10
  • inch roll. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap. Place in a freezer
  • container with a light fitting lid. Label and date. Use within 6 months. TO
  • MAKE COOKIES: Preheat oven to 350. Cut into ¼ inch slices. Arrange on a
  • baking sheet about ½ inches apart. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake
  • 8-10 minutes until edges turn brown. Cool on rack.
