Butternut Squash Apple Bake Dated 1971

- 2 pounds butternut squash shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter melted shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon mace shopping list
- 2 baking apples cored and sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350. Cut each squash in half. Remove seeds and fibers then pare squash. Cut into 1/2” slices. Stir together remaining ingredients except apple slices. Arrange squash in ungreased rectangular baking dish and top with apple slices. Sprinkle sugar mixture on top then cover with foil. Bake for 1 hour.

I found this really, really good, and hope to make it again this weekend. This time, though, I'll either peel the apples or roughly chop them: the peels made it a bit difficult to eat.
