Shrimp Cornbread Dressing

- 2 boxes of Jiffy cornbread mix shopping list
- add 2 eggs/ milk shopping list
- 1/2 to 2/3 cups shredded cheese do not go over that you don't want it real cheesy ... shopping list
- 1 small white / yellow onion cut up small...fine chopped. shopping list
- 4 to 6 green onion stalks cut up small shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic shopping list
- 8 slices of japaleno peppers cut up fine shopping list
- 1/4 cup or less of parsley shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon of slap yo mama seasoning or your favorite shopping list
- stir up and bake as directed on box. shopping list
- now the sauce for the dressing. you will add this to the cornbread after it is cooked. shopping list
- 3 or 4 lbs of shrimp shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon to 1 full tablespoon Slap yo mama... shopping list
- start with the 1/2 after it is cooking if you feel you need more shopping list
- put the other 1/2 tablespoon. shopping list
- 2 cans of Campbells shrimp soup shopping list
- 1 med yellow/white onions cut fine shopping list
- 4 to 6 green onions shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic shopping list
- 8 slices of japaleno peppers chopped fine shopping list
- 1/4 cup or less of parsley shopping list
- 1/2 stick of butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil /if you don't have u can use reg.cooking oil. shopping list
How to make it
- now...
- use a magnalite pot /NOT a case iron...
- put the oil in the pot med heat
- add all onions/ green and yellow or white / japaleno/ garlic/
- saute' until clear...then add:
- one can of Shrimp soup
- saute' around then add a 1/2 can of water..
- if you got it to thin or not enough mixture for the cornbread
- add the 2 can of shrimp soup.
- turning down your heat just
- let it simmer for about 20 minutes
- then add your shrimp.
- by the time all of this is done your corn bread is cooked
- add the cornbread into the shrimp mixture
- mix well together
- then pour over into a oiled baking dish and bake
- until top is brown or for about 25 minutes.
- the sauce that I told you how to make
- you will make it again for your rice and to pour over
- your cornbread when it is done..
- you can double the recipe by using 4 cans of shrimp soup
- and extra shrimp ...or crawfish..
- this is the same recipe i cook my crawfish..
- except
- small chopped fine of bell pepper
- you will need to use about 3 lbs of shrimp or crawfish
- it takes a tleast one pound for the dressing and the other
- for your sauce to eat on rice
